On Sunday August 6th at 4:37a.m. units from Winfield and surrounding fire departments were alerted for a reported house fire in the 4500 Block of Roop Road. Lieutenant 14-3 (T. Legore) was the first to arrive, established command, and advised fire showing from the front corner of a two story house. The fire was brought under control by 5:18am and crews worked extensively on overhaul.
