On Sunday, August 2nd several members from Winfield participated in a cone course. The cone course is one of the very first steps in a thorough process any member must go through in order to drive our apparatus. Our cone course includes a diminishing lane, serpentine, lane change, and other stations, all of which must be completed without hitting any cones. New drivers are given direction and advice from experienced members who have been driving for quite some time. We are able to see the confidence and knowledge grow as members go through our drivers training program.
