Laster & Denning Receive Awards from Westminster VFW

On Dec. 21, Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 467 of Westminster had a Breakfast with Santa in the morning and the post Christmas party in the afternoon, when various awards were distributed.

Those recognized included: John Laster, Firefighter of the Year; Michael Zepp, Law Enforcement Officer of the Year; Jess Denning, Paramedic of the Year; and Nora Murry, Teacher of the Year.

In addition, two youth awards were presented: eighth-grader Elizabeth Scully, for Patriot's Pen, and 11th-grader Samantha Curry, for Voice of Democracy.
