The Winfield VFD headed out this morning to visit Linton Springs Elementary School. Although the rainy weather hindered our efforts we muddled through and visited with K and grade 1. They answered fire prevention questions asked by Miss Fire Prevention Stacie Jaret, watched a firefighter put on turn out gear (friendly firefighter), and toured an engine. Prior to our arrival they watched a fire safety video and will receive a plastic fire hat as they head home this evening.
We hope the students and their families will attend our annual fire safety open house on Nov. 14th noon - 3pm, since our visit was cut short due to the weather.
Thanks to the members that assisted today and the ladies for once again preparing us lunch.
